Adventure Paragliding
For those of us who have a passion seeded deep within our soul to fly, the calling must be answered! Maybe you, too, experience a burning desire to be free as a bird, to spread your wings and lift off the ground into the limitless expanse of the open air. Perhaps you are seeking a new adventure, a new experience unlike anything else. If you are this person, then paragliding is your answer.
We offer three ways to help you get your feet off the ground.
TANDEM PARAGLIDE
With no prior experience or training you can take to the skies over Glenwood Springs with a US Hang Gliding Association (USHGA) certified instructor. Free-flight and breathtaking views combine to create a totally unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
If you have ever dreamed of flying or gazed up at the birds soaring above longing to join them, this is your chance to live that experience!
BECOME A PARAGLIDING PILOT
Our USHGA Certified Instructors are dedicated to helping you become a safe and capable pilot. Our private certification program utilizes both tandem flying and classroom training to ingrain the skills necessary to pilot your own glider and fly solo.
Intensive P2 Certification Course
Adventure Paragliding offers the most extensive and comprehensive P2 program available in the US today.
Come to Glenwood for a vacation and learn how to fly.
PARAMOTORING
Explore almost any area at will from the air and enjoy the views that used to be reserved for the birds.
On the drive to our normal paragliding sites, we pass many take-off areas suitable for launching on the paramotor. With the motor we are free to fly almost anywhere and are not limited to the tiny areas of lift that we need to stay airborne on paragliders. One can launch from almost anywhere and fly in places that were previously not possible.
For those who can open their minds to the use of an engine, the world opens up and the most awesome possibilities for flight can be imagined. Your imagination is the only limit and people are flying their paramotors over almost every inch of the globe.
Powered paragliding (PPG) is the new kid on the block and its qualities and ease make it very attractive. PPGs are the aircraft with the simplest engine and are the easiest way fly.
In order to learn how to fly a PPG one must first learn how to fly a paraglider. Adventure Paragliding offers the P2 course, which certifies you as a licensed paragliding pilot. From there, the basic techniques for flying a PPG are covered in the paramotoring course.
It is important to seek proper instruction even when you have your P2 rating, especially at the beginning of the learning process. The aim is always to transform the beginner into an autonomous pilot, responsible and conscious of his limitations and those of his aircraft.
