Elk hunting
D bar G Outfitters is located in the beautiful San Juan Mountains of Colorado near Durango, CO. We have several elk hunts available to meet your preferences and budget. The elk herd in our area is one of the strongest in the nation and offers some of the best Colorado elk hunting in the state. Our hunters see many elk during the hunt and have high success rates on bull elk.
Archery Elk hunters get the chance to hunt the rut in September with bugling bulls and adrenaline packed days. Rifle hunts start in October during the peak of the fall color change and run into November when the elk start to migrate to lower elevations. All of our guided hunts are horse back pack in camps based at about 10,000 feet. Hunters enjoy browsing our trophy photos and let us know how we can help you make your hunting dreams a reality!
