Specialty food experience.  Taste it, smell it, see it, hear it being made.  Choke Cherries are real and good for you - come learn all about them hands on along with soft buttery handmade caramels and chocolates, jams and jellies, fruit syrups, fruit butters and more!  It all started when Bill was just fourteen and his grandmother taught him to make strawberry jam - and he was hooked. Since that time he has made jam or jelly out of just about everything he could think of (including Choke Cherries)!
He opened the Choke Cherry Tree in Pagosa Springs, Colorado in 1999, stocking it with jams and jellies and a few other items from this part of Colorado.

...The rest, as they say, is history. The shop outgrew its space and moved to a larger place about 3 miles west of the first shop. It now makes chocolate truffles, toffee and unique chocolate confections called poops and offers classes for you to join in the tasty fun.
