This hour-long tour goes down a short half-mile gravel path and goes past a variety of animals. Tours are done at feeding time so you can see the animals up close. Your knowledgeable guide will explain the animal's diet, personal history and interesting facts about its' species. During the tour the animals come up close to the fence and sometimes you may be surprised by a growl or hiss from a mountain lion or the gentleness of a bear as he delicately picks his food from the bowl.
Need to wait for your friends? There is a pleasant covered porch that is perfect to relax on.
Visitors with strollers are recommended to bring ones with larger wheels. If you are using a wheelchair, you may need a strong assistant as the incline can be steep. Snow boots are recommended during winter months because the trail can become muddy and snow packed.
