A little about our owned & operated campground:
Nestled in among huge Ponderosa Pine trees and at 8,100 feet elevation, our 10 acre campground features 32 full hook-up RV sites each with fire pit and picnic table, 7 mountain cabins, and a nice tent area away from the RV sites. Our spacious and shaded RV sites include water, 20/30 amp or 50 amp power, sewer, 4 CATV channels and FREE WI-FI INTERNET throughout the campground. We have two pull through sites available. Our recently remodeled lodge includes recently tiled/bathrooms and showers which feature various eco-friendly systems, a laundry facility, a fully equipped community kitchen area, meeting/dining/relaxing area, pool table, arcade games, and books for all of our guests to enjoy. We also welcome groups, reunions, retreats, and weddings as well as your well-behaved pets at no additional charge!

We are lucky enough to be located in one of the most pristine areas in the country at the head of a truly remarkable yet fragile watershed and we strive to be as environmentally conscious as possible. Here is some of what we do to lessen our environmental impact:

    • The most advanced water conserving toilets, faucets, washing machines and urinals available.

    • Non-toxic cleaners and detergents are used whenever possible.

    • Most of the furniture in the cabins was handmade from aspen trees by local furniture builder Preston Goetzke.

    • All fluorescent or LED light bulbs.

    • We spare irrigation water by planting only native grasses & plants/flowers that require less water. We do not use fertilizers.

    • Many new picnic tables are made in the USA out of recycled plastic.

    • Remodels are done with recycled or environmentally conscious materials.

    • We recycle glass, #1 & #2 plastic, corrugated cardboard, paper, aluminum, steel & electronics.

    • Most of the souvenirs we sell are USA made. We try to sell as much Colorado made stuff as possible.

Please help us keep costs down and reduce our environmental footprint by turning your lights & heat off when you are away from your RV or cabin. AC is rarely needed but if you turn it on please turn it off when you are away from your RV. Please use as little water as possible by not letting your water run when washing dishes and not taking showers longer than 5 minutes. Washing vehicles with the drinking water is prohibited at all times. Recycling bins are provided, please recycle while you are here.

Our general store and office greets you as you enter the campground. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff welcomes you as you check into your accommodations or if you are just dropping by to check us out, have some ice-cream, or a cup of complementary coffee. We are here to answer any questions and make this your best camping experience possible. We stock a bit of everything in the store including groceries, ice-cream, ice, beer/liquor, VCR/DVD rentals, propane, gas/diesel, and souvenirs. We also carry a complete selection of fishing tackle, including a large selection of flies as well as some hunting gear during hunting season. We are also an authorized Colorado Division of Wildlife agent and offer all available fishing, hunting and ATV licenses.
