  • Ride where the locals ride
ICE PIRATES is delighted to share 55,000 acres of incredible terrain with you. With over 300 inches of snowfall a year at ride locations 16 miles north of Durango Mountain Resort (between Durango and Silverton, Colorado), Ice Pirates is family-owned and operated and permitted in the San Juan National Forest.

Ice Pirates takes you where the locals ride. Which means some of the best terrain in Southwest Colorado (and, quite possibly, in the whole state). Snowmobile tours begin at base camp, at 10,800 feet above sea level. With over eighty miles of trails to explore, choose from beautiful forest or meadow trails and ride up the spine of Molas Peak to get to the highlight of the trip: Ice Pirates' favorite overlook, elevation 12,223 feet (give or take), higher than anywhere on the mountains of Durango Ski Resort. To tell you the views are "stunning" would just be empty words. You'll just have to come see for yourself.
