Baby Story Time When: Every Tuesday Time: 10am Where: in the Library's Children's Room
For ages 0-18 mos. Baby story time is filled with songs, movement exercises, rhythm and rhyme. This is a very interactive and age appropriate hour of activity. From their unique perspective, perched on the lap of a beloved adult, these very young minds absorb what is going on around them and may already be learning an appreciation for books and reading.
Toddler Story Time When: Every Wednesday Time: 10am Where: in the Library's Children's Room
For ages 18-30 months Toddler story hours contain songs, finger plays, introductory art and, of course, stories. The books presented to toddlers will include the ever-important ingredients of rhythm, repetition, and rhyme. This is a wonderful way to introduce toddlers to literacy and socializing.
Preschool Story Time When: Every Tuesday and Wednesday Time: 11am Where: Library's Children's Room For ages 3-5 years
This story time is filled with rhymes, songs, dancing, and books. The preschool set enjoys the interaction and discovery of this gathering that often finishes with a brief craft project. Based on weekly themes, the stories chosen for this age (36 months to five years), appeal especially to 2 to 5 year olds.
Note: The following events are free. Some events require registration, which is available at the door. Children under six must be accompanied by an adult. Parents are always welcome.
