Let one of our experienced local guides take you on a memorable guided fly fishing trip in the heart of the Colorado Rockies.

Whether you're a beginner wanting to learn, a weekend warrior looking for a relaxing day of fishing, or a seasoned veteran searching for the local runs and trophy sized trout, Colorado Fly fishing Guides can customize your trip for a great day on the water.

Colorado Fly Fishing Guides Services the following water bodies.

Arkansas River: As a natural watershed for the mighty Sawatch Range on the west and the majestic Mosquito Range on the east, the Upper Arkansas Valley houses the headwaters of the Arkansas River. Winding through cool mountain canyons, high grassy meadows, and long, bouldered runs, the Arkansas River offers a variety of abundant biomass which provides the trout with a tremendous food source. The upper "Ark" is heavily populated with wild brown trout and offers an occasional hefty rainbow or cutthroat. It is most famous for its epic summer - long caddis hatch, but offers a variety of hatches from early spring to late summer and tremendous terrestrial action from late summer to well into the fall. River enhancements over the past decade have restored the upper Arkansas River into a world class trout fishery located in the heart of the Central Colorado Rockies. Ask about our private water opportunities on the Arkansas River.

Lake Fork of the Arkansas River: Colorado Fly Fishing Guides has exclusive private water on the Lake Fork at Outward Bound. This piece of water hosts wild brown trout of up to 20 inches, large greenback cutthroats, brook trout, and you can round out your Colorado Grand Slam with a rainbow. Also, you will not believe the views as you make your way up this tail water from Turquoise Lake. This is a great option for high water conditions, and fishes great all the way through September. We only service this water once a week to protect the integrity of the fishery, so book this water as early as you can; and with only a $50/person rod fee is a great way to enhance your experience.

South Platte: With its consistent hatches and long, winding, ox bowed runs, the South Platte in the South Park area of Colorado offers some of the best trout fishing in the entire state. With miles and miles of Gold Medal Water it can offer large brown, rainbow, and cutthroat trout that are sometimes easier to measure in pounds as opposed to inches. Considering the endless views that South Park has to offer and potential for big fish, a trip to the South Platte could be hard to beat! Ask about our private water options on Tarryall Creek too.

Turquoise Lake: 8 campgrounds, 300 campsites, a boat ramp, and 780 acres of water. Set in the shadow of Colorado's tallest peaks this is a gorgeous place to spend a day. Enjoy the beauty on top of the Colorado Rockies fishing for trout. Turquoise has Mackinaw (lake trout), rainbow, cutthroat, and brown trout to offer up, in addition to its beautiful mountain backdrops. Fly casting and spin casting techniques can be utilized on our boat trips, depending on the bite, and walk/wade fly fishing trips are conducted at the inlet of Turquoise - a great way to learn the sport! The Matchless boat ramp at Turquoise Lake is scheduled to open on Sat. June 10th. Book your boat trip now!
