  • Casual grill on beautiful Roaring Fork River.

The Riverside Grill is located in Basalt, parallel to the Fryingpan River, and said to be "the best location in the valley." It's beautiful here. In contrast to Syzygy, its sister restaurant known for fine dining, The Riverside Grill offers a more casual atmosphere with lunch and dinner at very affordable prices. Owner Walt Harris bought the restaurant and completely remodeled it before opening the doors in the early summer of 2005. He immediately saw the appeal of the restaurant's location, as it is the only place in town where you can dine while overlooking the Fryingpan River. By listening to the locals who voiced their concern that the new restaurant needed to offer good food, affordable prices and personalized service, Harris created a product and a menu with Executive Chef Martin Oswald that matches the needs of the locals and visitors who are seeking out a picturesque and casual dining setting.
