There are very good reasons why to spend so much effort to get here in the winter. It's truly a winter wonderland that needs to be experienced. The town is cozy, and the mountains can provide entertainment for anyone wanting to get outside and breathe some crisp air. We guide Snowshoe and Cross Country Skiing day trips, and love to take people out to Backcountry Winter Huts and guide Backcountry Skiing. AAG guides are trained on mountain ski instructors with medical and avalanche certifications who can take you behind the boundary lines to explore new terrain with Lift Assisted Out of Bounds Skiing. Snow science is also important to us and we provide a full array of AIARE Certified Avalanche Courses. All trips include local transportation to trail heads, snowshoes, day packs and poles, and lunches can be arranged if needed.
